However, the party was interrupted by the arrival of Minister for Magic Rufus Scrimgeour , who had arrived to disclose the contents of Albus Dumbledore's will to Harry, Ron and Hermione.

With the full strength of the Ministry behind them, the Death Eaters broke the protective enchantments protecting The Burrow, Apparating into the reception. Guests had already started to flee the scene due to Kingsley's warning, including the Death Eaters' primary target, Harry Potter, along with Hermione and Ron.

The Ministry, aware of the Weasleys' ties to Harry, questioned the family and any remaining guests before releasing them. Harry trying to save Ginny while subsequently stopped by Remus Lupin. During the Easter holidays in , the Weasleys were forced to abandon The Burrow when the Death Eaters finally discovered that Ron was assisting Harry after they were incarcerated at Malfoy Manor.

Ron, with the assistance of Fred, George, and his father, had disguised the family ghoul as himself sick with spattergroit to explain his absence from school.

However, he was recognised when he, Harry, and Hermione were captured by Snatchers and brought to Malfoy Manor.

The Weasleys had already been under suspicion as " blood traitors " with ties to the Order, but were now known to be actively supporting Lord Voldemort 's enemies. The Burrow was located on the outskirts of Ottery St.

Catchpole , a small village located in Devon , England. Nestled amongst rolling hills and fertile meadows, other wizarding families in the area included the Diggorys , the Lovegoods and the Fawcetts. Four or five chimneys dotted the roof of the house, and the entire building was most likely held up by magic due to its crazy construction. The Burrow had a small yard at the front of the house, with a garage that stored Arthur Weasley 's flying Ford Anglia and Muggle artefacts, and a chicken coop that housed the family's chickens.

A sign in the ground read "The Burrow" by the main entrance. The back garden contained a stone outhouse that the Weasleys had converted into a broom shed, and the Weasley children keep their broomsticks in the building during their time at home.

When she was six, Ginny Weasley began a regular habit of breaking into the broom shed and taking each broom out in turn since her elder brothers wouldn't allow her to play Quidditch with them. Behind the main house was a large, overgrown garden with a pond full of frogs. The garden was home to a large number of gnomes ; the Weasleys had to regularly de-gnome the garden by throwing them over the hedge.

However, the gnomes always sneaked back in since Arthur Weasley was soft on them and thought they were funny. The entrance to the kitchen backed onto the garden, and was surrounded by rusted cauldrons and old wellington boots.

The Weasleys also owned an orchard behind their garden, which was surrounded by high trees. The orchard was contained within a paddock. The Weasley children used the orchard to practise Quidditch during their school holidays. A large white marquee was erected, and the ceremony and the reception took place inside.

Small ponds and swamps were found within this cornfield. The Burrow could be exited by moving down a long lane that moved out towards the village of Ottery St. The interior of The Burrow was cosy and lived in, with a jumbled and cluttered array of furniture and trappings. The kitchen of The Burrow was the social centre of the Weasley family. Located at the back of the house, it was accessible from the garden.

The kitchen contains a large wooden table with room enough for eight chairs. All of the furniture in the kitchen was salvaged from the home of a pop star [11] [In the summers of and , due to the large number of house guests, the kitchen table could not seat enough people, so meals were eaten outside at a table instead.

There was a large fireplace in the room which also operated as the Weasleys' connection to the Floo Network , and a clock with one hand that points to various times such as "You're late" or "Time to feed the chickens". The kitchen opened out on the front yard, through the front door and opened up on the back garden, through the back door.

Sadly, Percy had his own issues that weren't going to be changed overnight. He ended up not attending Bill's wedding. When it came time for Fleur and Bill to become married, Fleur and her sister ended up staying in Percy's room at the Burrow since he wasn't there to claim it. The two sisters were close, and with it being a very cramped household at the time, Molly wasn't able to keep Percy's room free anymore. She had to allow someone to stay in there because there wasn't enough room for everyone.

With the Burrow being such a distinguishable place in the Harry Potter movies, it only makes sense that fans would want to replicate it. Fans all across the world have recreated the Burrow in many different ways, including creating versions of it in The Sims. One fan even created a gingerbread version of the Burrow that ended up going viral.

For someone to recreate the Burrow out of food is pretty incredible. Of course, the gingerbread house version of the Burrow got a lot of attention, but there's been more than one recreation of the Burrow in food form.

Fans have gone above and beyond to create their own unique versions of the very famous Weasley home. The Burrow included many bedrooms, but some of the kids still had to share space.

When Harry first visited the home, both Bill and Charlie had already moved out. That being said, Bill did have his own room in the house, but neither the book nor the movie go into depth as to where Charlie's room would have been. With visitors like Hermione and Harry always coming in and out, it's not like there was a ton of room anyway. With Fred and George sharing a room, Charlie must have shared a room with someone too. It would have been kind of unfortunate for Bill and Charlie to have shared a room since they were the two oldest Weasley kids.

However, with there being no extra room for Charlie, he must have shared with someone else in the house. Either that or room arrangements were different before he moved out.

He might have had Ron's room or shared with Percy. De-gnoming the Weasley garden at the Burrow was an incredibly fun thing to read about in the Harry Potter series.

Since Ron basically insisted on Harry becoming part of the family, he too had to help with Ron's various chores. However, many fans were sad when they discovered that the scene never made it into the movies. Due to a lack of time, producers decided that the scene wasn't important enough to warrant any screen time. While the scene didn't make it into the film, it did make an appearance in some of the video game versions. It makes sense because throwing gnomes seems like a pretty fun thing to do, even if the Weasley children didn't think so.

Putting it into the video games was a great idea. The Harry Potter studio tours are in high demand. There's another stop on the tour that many fans love to see as well, though: the kitchen of the Burrow.

Fans can actually visit the Burrow while on the studio tour. While the entire house isn't up for grabs, the kitchen is available for viewing.

The kitchen is on full display during the tour, with special things-- including wardrobe and famous props-- placed around the room.

You can feel like you're actually in the Weasley home, minus the magical dishes that wash themselves. While the Burrow might be tons of fun, don't forget that there are plenty of other stops to see on the tour as well. While Ron might have thought his house was nothing special, Harry, like many fans, thought it was amazing. He even called it the best house he had ever been in.
